Rollbook sets no cookies. There is no analytics cookie, no advertising cookie, no tracking pixel, and no third-party script following you around. That is why you have never seen a consent banner here: under the ePrivacy rules consent is required for storage that is not strictly necessary, and Rollbook has none.
It does use your browser's local storage, which is not a cookie but is worth being straight about. Everything below is either strictly necessary for the app to work or a setting you chose yourself. None of it is sent to a third party, and none of it tracks you across other websites.
What Rollbook stores in your browser
Your sign-in session — key sb-…-auth-token. Written
by the authentication library after you follow a magic link. Without it you would
be signed out on every page load. Removed when you sign out.
Theme and palette — rollbook.theme and
rollbook.palette. Remember whether you chose light or dark and which
of the two palettes you prefer, so the page does not flash the wrong one before it
loads. Kept until you clear your browser data.
Recent scans — rollbook.recentScans. A short list of
roll IDs scanned on this device, so the scanner can offer them again. Never synced
to the server. Clearable from the scanner itself.
Local rolls and presets — rollbook.data and
rollbook.presets. Hold rolls logged before you signed in and offline
entries awaiting migration to your account. Once migrated, the copy on the server
is authoritative.
Third parties
Typefaces are served by Rollbook itself, not by Google Fonts or any other CDN, so loading a page contacts no third-party origin and discloses your IP address to nobody but the host.
Supabase (database and authentication) and
Vercel (hosting) keep standard server logs. Vercel serves the site
without setting any cookie — checked against the live deployment, every response
comes back with no Set-Cookie header at all.
Clearing it
Signing out removes the session entry. To remove everything, clear site data for rollbook.bystanek.com in your browser settings, under Privacy in the cookies-and-site-data section. Doing so signs you out and forgets your theme, but it does not touch the rolls stored in your account: sign in again and they are all still there.
Changes
If Rollbook ever adds anything requiring consent — analytics, for instance — this page will be updated first and you will be asked before it runs. The date at the top always reflects the current version. See also the Privacy Policy.
